The FBA churches voted on a 3-year emphasis to 'call out' those who God has called into ministry. Since then, our FBA churches have hosted five special COTC services. 7 men have responded to a call to ministry at those services. 2 AIM Summer missionaries have also surrendered to the call. We still need prayer partners.
Jesus is still in the business of calling out leaders to follow Him into ministry.
Jesus works through His church to call out and train up and send out leaders.
The need is great! We currently have 8 churches looking for pastors. 75% need a bivocational pastor.
Our association is not the only one in need. Many of the surrounding associations are also in desperate need of leaders for various ministries to help them fulfil the Great Commission and Acts 1:8.

FBA churches are having a difficult time finding candidates to fill their bi-vocational pastor positions. The Calling Out the Called initiative is our main focus in the coming year with the primary goal of raising up local men to fill those bi-vocational pastorates.
Additionally, we will encourage men and women in other ministry-related callings to step out of the pews and seek training and service opportunities as well.
