What will we be doing?
The main focus of the mission trip will be to provide the programming, activities, and meals for a full week of camp. Camp will function as an expanded VBS with the kids arriving at 8 am and departing at 4 pm each day. We will also have other mission projects available on-campus and possibly off-campus.
Where are we going?
We will conduct camp at the Howard Memorial Camp owned by Upper Cumberland Association of Baptists in Wallins, KY. We will be staying on-site in the cabins at the camp.
When is the trip?
We will be traveling on Sunday, July 5 to Kentucky. Camp will run Monday-Friday, July 6-10. We will return home on Saturday, July 11.
Who is eligible?
This mission trip is open to groups and individuals from FBA churches. Students must have completed at least 7th grade to participate and must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or other sponsoring adult- a ratio of 1 adult/3-4 students is desired. Individual students will be allowed to participate if they have completed 11th grade.
How do I participate?
Fill out an online application form below and submit it and a payment of $250/person. Or print out an application (available below) and take/mail completed application and payment of $250/person to the FBA office as soon as possible. We will send information packages to participants when your application is received. Space is limited to 50 participants.
Why are we doing this?
FBA has partnered with Upper Cumberland Association of Baptists for the next three years, promising to support them with prayer and assistance to reach this extremely impoverished area with the Gospel. We are committed to taking at least 1 mission trip each year to Harlan County, KY and are encouraging our churches to also plan mission trips to the area.
